Here at Beutler Ink, we count among our ranks a few die-hard Breaking Bad fans. Sure, one or two being the sort who got caught up via Netflix in the final seasons—but hey, isn’t that really the quintessential Breaking Bad experience? Just before the debut of the final eight episodes, we released an infographic treatment of the show’s characters and motifs, which was noticed by Huffington Post, among others.

Now, with the series concluded, we created a revised and expanded version, which we’ve made available for purchase as an 11”x17” full-color print poster. You can pick one up at the Beutler Ink store for just $20 (plus S/H). Only 100 will be produced, so this time it might not be such a good idea to tread lightly.

Beutler Ink, a research and creative agency, is hiring an Operations Manager. We are expanding our services, our team and our locations and we’re looking for someone who can help us grow smartly while keeping our sanity.

The Details

Cat herding at its finest

Our Operations Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading operations for a 10-person distributed team

  • Posting to Beutler Ink social media channels (Facebook, Twitter and blog) regularly

  • Owning the onboarding process for all new contractors and employees

  • Working closely with our Vice President of Finance to send invoices, pay contractors and manage HR

  • Scheduling calls and travel for team, herding of cats

  • Tracking new business leads through Salesforce or other CRM

  • Managing list of active contracts, ensuring all documents are signed and filed properly

  • Managing group calendar, passwords and database

  • Helping with creation of project plans, contracts and note-taking as needed

  • Conserving Executive Team’s time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications

  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

The Skills

Multitasking all day, every day

  • 1-2 years of professional experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required

  • Must be organized, resourceful and disciplined

  • Very strong written communication skills a must

  • Must be a self-starter who can stay on task without a manager on site

  • Experience at a PR or advertising agency a plus

  • Experience with Wave, Paychex or Salesforce a major plus

Our President and Founder William Beutler and Leslie have been friends and colleagues for nearly 7 years. They’ve worked together for dozens of clients and on hundreds of projects. We are ecstatic to make the partnership more official by welcoming Leslie as our company adviser.

For the uninitiated, CrossFit—a sport that combines aspects of Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, and cardiovascular conditioning to “forge elite fitness”—can be confusing. Newcomers enter a CrossFit gym to see people doing ridiculous things on jungle gyms and saying ridiculous words like “WOD” and “AMRAP.” Things only get worse when the workout actually starts, with everyone throwing barbells around and jumping on boxes at breakneck speed for ten minutes or so before collapsing in a heap and gasping for air.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of that first-time experience at a CrossFit gym, you’re probably even more confused by what CrossFit is (especially after that description!).

With the CrossFit Games starting on July 22, Beutler Ink decided to partner with JP CrossFit—a CrossFit affiliate located in Boston—to dispel some of the confusion. For the uninitiated, A Viewer’s Guide to the CrossFit Games provides a primer on some of the common movements, including what counts as a good rep during a competition, and an explanation of what some of the terminology means. And if you’re a seasoned CrossFitter, we’ve got something for you, too—tips on performing the movements from JP CrossFit owner Logan Miller.

Lately, we’ve had a small problem here at Beutler Ink. Since we expanded our services and took the plunge with our rebranding, we’ve been developing a great deal of visual content, both for our amazing clients and simply because we love to do it. We’re very proud of what we’ve done! But we haven’t had an outlet to showcase our work.

Today, that all changes. The folks at XOlator have solved our problem with a super-slick new website, which you will not be surprised to learn can be found at beutlerink.com. In addition to showing off the work that we do, the website is full of information about how and why we do what we do, plus other tidbits about the company and the Beutler Ink team.
